Overview

• The Chinese Institute of Engineers – USA (CIE-USA) is a non-profit professional organization founded in 1917.

• It comprises engineers, scientists, and other professionals of Chinese heritage from around the world.

• The organization promotes Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through various events and initiatives.

Mission

• CIE-USA is dedicated to advancing Asian Pacific Americans (APA) in the fields of science, engineering, and technology.

• It also aims to enhance the social and economic well-being of its members both locally and internationally.

Activities

• Hosting conferences, seminars, workshops, and training classes across the United States.

• Sponsoring the DiscoverE Future City Competition and participating in the DiscoverE Advisory and Diversity Council.

• Organizing the annual Asian American Engineer of the Year Award (AAEOY).

Organizational Structure

• Headquarters in New York.

• Six regional chapters: New York, Dallas, San Francisco, New Mexico, Seattle, and Environment.

• Two international divisions: CIE/Taiwan and CIE/China.

• National Council representing these chapters.

• Committees for Education, Mentoring, Community Relations, Professional Development, Scholarships,

• Math Contest & Science Fun, and Membership.
